The LEGO® Engineering Conference, jointly organised by Singapore Science Centre, National University of Singapore, Tufts University Center for Engineering Educational Outreach and LEGO® focuses on the use of LEGO MINDSTORMS and robotics in education. Through this conference, understand and learn about LEGO MINDSTORMS and robotics as a tool for teaching and learning not necessarily confined to science and mathematics, as well as using robotics as a tool for creativity and innovation to create products and systems to better our quality of lives. LEGO® Engineering Conference 2008 is the 2nd annual event in Singapore with the first one successfully held in National Institute of Education last 2007. It is a 1-day event compromising a keynote address by Prof. Chris Rogers (from Tufts University, who played a key role in creating LEGO robotics products), two parallel sessions comprising papers and posters sharing best practices (for primary and secondary education), a panel discussion, and two parallel workshops (basic and advanced) on LEGO MINDSTORMS. The advanced workshop will be conducted by Prof. Chris Rogers and the Basic Workshop by educators from the Robotics Learning Centre in the Singapore Science Centre.

You are invited to attend the conference and share in the discussions. Papers are specifically encouraged and most welcome. The papers can be on any related topic on robotics and engineering in education at the primary or secondary levels. Selected papers will be presented in the oral presentations in the parallel sessions. Other selected papers will be displayed during poster sessions for fruitful discussions.

To register, please email or fax us back the form. Closing date for registration is on 7th March 2008.

Dateline for submission of papers for discussion will be on 29th February 2008 and notification of selected papers for presentation will be on 5th March 2008
Authors are encouraged to write their papers in LaTex format.  A sample document with the LaTex format can be downloaded from here.  For those who are not familiar with LaTex, please use the Word sample template, downloadable from sample of paper in Word format. Please limit the paper to 10 pages
